Byrd Barr Place’s financial coaching program links participants with the structured support to increase their financial stability, build assets and achieve their personal goals. Through financial coaching, participants can expect to learn more about income generation, financial planning, asset building, controlling money, credit building and debt alleviation. The purpose of coaching is to partner with the client to raise awareness and deepen the learning for each participant. The coach’s role involves asking powerful questions, presenting resources and contributing ideas when requested to identify financial habits. Biography: Amy Samudre
Amy Samudre is responsible for the Financial Education Program management and delivery. A trained counselor with an MBA specializing in Microfinance from Liverpool Hope University and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Washington, Amy worked both domestically and internationally to promote self-sufficiency and resiliency within poor families before joining Byrd Barr Place in 2013.
