Food Bank

We’re open three days a week for people who need it to shop for healthy foods and non-grocery essentials.

ALERT: Our offices on 18th Ave are closed for renovations. Starting March 30, you may visit our temporary food bank at 420 East Pike Street, where you’ll find the same high quality food and same staff you know and trust.

The food bank hours are: Tue. 11 am – 4 pm, Wed. 12 – 4 pm, or Thu. 10 am – 2 pm. If you are unable to travel to our new location and live in the 98102, 98112 or 98122 ZIP code, please call us at 206-812-4940 to sign up for home delivery.

Starting March 30, our food bank will be temporarily relocated to 420 East Pike Street, just 1.2 miles away in the Capitol Hill neighborhood.

It will be staffed by the same friendly faces, have the same high quality food, and be the same Byrd Barr Place experience you’ve come to know and trust.

Who can visit the food bank?

The food bank is open to anyone who needs it. Some food items provided by the federal government are available only to those living in the 98102, 98112 or 98122 ZIP code. For these items, please bring a photo ID, utility or medical bill, or other printed document to verify your address.

Note: There is not a public restroom at our new temporary location.
