The renovation will allow us to better serve clients in a facility that is accessible, comfortable, safe and spacious and will increase work and meeting space for neighborhood residents, grassroots organizations and other community partners.
The renovation is made possible through a campaign of the Rise Together collaborative.
Rise Together
Rise Together is a collaborative of six Seattle-area nonprofits working to create equitable developments with and for communities in the Capitol Hill, Central District and White Center neighborhoods.
Together, the collaborative is building over 400 new affordable homes alongside space for community programs, health and human services, and local minority-owned businesses.
“Byrd Barr Place has been a part of my family’s history and the tapestry of this community. I’m glad to see it being invested in for the long term.”
